Grayhaven Wine

At Grayhaven, our Piedmont region estate vineyards line the rolling, central-Virginia hills at a surprising 400 ft elevation.  The vineyard foundation of sandy-rocky loam with clay bands and the rich, natural mineral composition of the soil produce the mineral-forward character our wines are known for.  The land, as well as the maritime-influenced microclimate of our location, our winemaking aesthetic and the regional culture of  winemaking that we've been a part of since 1978 all contribute to the depth, complexity and personality of our wines.  In a nutshell, we produce wines that express a true sense of place and time, our reverence for Virginia and our love of a good story, well told.
